Meet the Apprentices at a local school near you, 4th April 2019 @ Havering College

National Apprenticeship Week 2019

The 12th annual National Apprenticeship Week will run from 4 to 8 March 2019, and the theme for The Week is ‘Blaze A Trail’, inspired by this year’s  new ‘Fire It Up’ national marketing campaign. This annual celebration of apprenticeships will bring the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy. We wanted to  use this week to showcase all the incredible opportunities doing an apprenticeship can bring - both for individuals firing up their careers, and for employers blazing a trail in their business and reaping the benefits of employing an apprentice.
To celebrate this year we are sharing  case studies of local success stories across Havering schools, please see attached a case studies:

Crownfield Infant school to find out more about how they have recruited apprentices into Learning Support Assistant roles and a Caretaking apprenticeship role.

Langtons Infant School who currently have two apprentices working with them a Nursey Nurse and a Welfare Administration Assistant Apprentice.

Harold Wood Primary School who have an apprentice working Level 3 Business Admin.

Meet the apprentice
We would like to invite you all to come along and find out more about how it is working in local schools and meet the apprentices and schools who are accessing their apprenticeship levy.
You will get an opportunity to meet with apprentices and head teachers to get an insight into the benefits for both employers and employees with an understanding into how the schools are meeting the 20% off the job training requirements.

The  event will also provide an update on the apprenticeship levy guidance, new standards that have been approved and an opportunity to make enquires about planning future apprenticeship opportunities with Havering College.
