Funding Available for Schools via GLA Greener City Fund: Community Green Space Grants

Greener City Fund: Community Green Space Grants

Applications are open for round three of the Community Green Space Grants via the Greater London Authority (GLA).

The Community Green Space grants offer funding between £5,000 and £50,000 and schools can apply.

Do you want to create or improve a green space in your school community, and improve Londoners' access to nature? Do you want to make your entire neighbourhood greener? Or do you want to green your school playground to improve air quality and create space for natural play? The GLA is looking for projects across the capital that will make our city greener and give Londoners the chance to get involved.

All Havering schools are eligible to apply with an application deadline of Monday 30th September. Awarded grant-funded projects will be received in November and gardening works will take place from January 2020 until December 2020.

The attachment in the Downloads section provides more information on which activities the grants will support in schools as well as how to apply.
